Total Time: 45–50 minutes
Servings: 4

🥬 Ingredients

  • 1 large green cabbage
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Remove any damaged outer cabbage leaves. Slice the cabbage into ¾-inch thick steaks, keeping the core intact so the slices hold together.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Arrange the cabbage steaks in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Brush both sides generously with the seasoned butter mixture.
  5. Roast for 20 minutes, then carefully flip each steak and roast for another 10 minutes until the edges are lightly browned.
  6. Remove from the oven and top each cabbage steak with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Return to the oven for 5–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
