Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into evenly sized strips. Pat them dry with paper towels.
Step 2: Marinate
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the chicken strips, toss well, and let them marinate for 20–30 minutes.
Step 3: Prepare the Coating
In another bowl, combine the flour, panko breadcrumbs, regular breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese (if using), paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Step 4: Coat the Chicken
Remove each chicken strip from the egg mixture and dredge thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture. Press gently so the coating sticks well.
Step 5: Heat the Oil
Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 6: Fry
Carefully add the chicken tenders in batches without overcrowding the pan. Fry for 5–6 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Step 7: Drain
Transfer the cooked chicken tenders to a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Step 8: Serve
Serve immediately while hot with your favorite dipping sauces and a side of fries, coleslaw, or a fresh garden salad.
