  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter (or almond butter)

Optional Toppings

  • Dairy-free whipped cream
  • Dark chocolate shavings
  • Mini dairy-free chocolate chips
  • Cocoa powder dusting
  • Fresh berries

Instructions

  1. Slice the bananas and freeze them for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Add the frozen bananas, almond milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and peanut butter to a high-powered blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
  4. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of almond milk. If it’s too thin, add a few more frozen banana slices.
  5. Blend for another 30–60 seconds until thick, smooth, and frosty.
  6. Pour into chilled glasses.
  7. Top with dairy-free whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or your favorite toppings.

Tips & Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor.
  • Freeze banana slices in a single layer for easier blending.
  • Add a scoop of vegan chocolate protein powder for a high-protein version.
  • A pinch of espresso powder enhances the chocolate flavor without tasting like coffee.
  • For an extra thick Frosty, use less milk or add more frozen banana.
